The VX-P820 Series are the smallest P25 portables (4 inches tall and 2 inches wide). The VX-P820 portables offer a wide range of features in three different versions.  The VX-P821 has 16 channels with 1 group, VX-P824 has 512 channels with 32 groups and 4 function keys and VX-829 has 512 channels with 32 groups, a full 16 button keyboard and field programmable.  The frequency ranges are 134 – 174 MHz or 450 – 512 MHz (in one radio, no sub-bands) and 700 mW audio output power and intrinsically safe.

Sub-Receiver Option
The optional sub-receiver units make it easy to monitor an alternate band.

If your Police Department is on UHF, they can easily monitor VHF fire frequencies.

Get both departments on the new VX-920 portables and they will have complete cross-band operation in a simple, inexpensive package.

Superior Protection from Dust and Water Intrusion
All VX-920 portables, as a standard feature, are rated for IP55 and IP57. This covers dust and water intrusion.

  • First, Ingress of dust shall not penetrate in a quantity to interfere with satisfactory operation of the apparatus or to impair safety.
  • IP55: Water projected in jets against the enclosure from any direction shall have no harmful effects.
  • IP57: Ingress of water in quantities causing harmful effects shall not be possible when the radio is submersed for 30 minutes at a depth of 3 feet.

 

Unsurpassed Receive Audio Output
Following the success of our VX-600/900 increased audio power of 700 mW, these new portables pack the same 700 mW punch.
